About Dr. Bastian

Dr. Bastian earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, before attending Chicago Medical School in Illinois. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he received the Resident Teaching Award in recognition of his dedication. Following this, he returned to California to complete a fellowship in shoulder and elbow reconstruction at the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute.

Dr. Bastian applies the skills he acquired during his extensive training in his practice, taking an educational approach to patient care. He empowers his patients by thoroughly explaining their treatment options and helping them make informed decisions about their care. Known for his commitment to patient education, Dr. Bastian ensures that every aspect of the treatment plan is clear and accessible. 

Specializing in the management of chronic pain, including arthritis, joint pain, and persistent neck and back pain, Dr. Bastian offers a range of cutting-edge treatments. These include regenerative medicine and nonsurgical options like physical therapy and acupuncture, as well as surgical solutions such as joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery.

Dr. Bastian remains actively involved in his field as a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He also serves as an editor and peer reviewer for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. With numerous publications in academic journals and presentations at professional conferences, Dr. Bastian is a recognized expert in orthopedic surgery. Additionally, he is fluent in Spanish and Armenian, enabling him to serve a diverse patient population. Dr. Bastian is currently available to see patients in Glendale.
